On "Les Nouveaux Riches" the bass part is a period-typical synth line supporting the arrangement. Rob and Ferdi Bolland built the track around their signature stack: PPG Wave wavetable pads, Fairlight CMI orchestral stabs, a Jupiter-8/Oberheim OB-8 for bass and leads, and a Linn 9000 for the groove.
