notes
The FM8 growl is built from an extreme FM operator matrix, not filtering, then torn apart with external multiband distortion (Ohmicide) and a WOW filter -- FM routing itself can't be modeled here. On this engine the growl is faked subtractively: two wide-detuned saws plus a sub square through a hot resonant LP24, a square-wave LFO synced to 1/8 (4.67 Hz at 140 BPM) chopping the cutoff, and post fuzz standing in for the multiband distortion chain.
