On this engine: saw plus square through a resonant filter (the EMS's real slope was closer to 18 dB/oct; nearest available here is LP12) with a snappy trapezoid envelope, a slow triangle LFO approximating the hand-worked joystick sweeps, tape echo and panning for the spatial motion.
