Ocean's GTO/Epic-era boogie sides (City Limit, Nights, Inner Feelings) sat in the transition from disco to synth-funk: string machine pads, Clavinet stabs, and a Minimoog or ARP Odyssey creeping in for basslines and lead punctuation. On "Don't Say Stop" this rhythmic stab fills out the arrangement in period-accurate disco/boogie-funk style.
