The dark atmospheric pad on "Weltschmerz" (Weltschmerz EP) is a bleak, slow-swelling pad that gives the title track its "world-weariness" mood. Built from 2 saw -1 wide detune, pushed through a lp 12 db/oct, slow-moving filter around 1917 Hz with 0.25 resonance, then left clean for grit and glued into the mix with long hall reverb, wide stereo chorus, sidechained to the kick so it pumps under the beat.
