notes
AllMusic called it 'half-twinky, half-ominous', tweaking religious imagery. The lead line on "Candyman Messiah" is voiced on the JD-800/Akai S1000 rig, detuned saws pushed through a bright filter sweep to cut over the choir/orchestral bed. It sits low in the mix, felt more than heard, typical of the album's dense layering.
