A layered string/pad wash sits behind the vocal and rhythm section, swelling slowly rather than tracking the beat. Built on the 1991-92 New Power Generation era keyboard rig (Korg M1, Roland D-50, E-mu Emulator III sampled brass/strings), it gives the new jack swing funk arrangement its harmonic bed without competing for space.
