A layered string/pad wash sits behind the vocal and rhythm section, swelling slowly rather than tracking the beat. Built on the 1994-96 NPG Records era keyboard rig (Korg O1/W, Kurzweil K2000, Roland JD-800), it gives the funk/soul arrangement its harmonic bed without competing for space.
