A layered string/pad wash sits behind the vocal and rhythm section, swelling slowly rather than tracking the beat. Built on the 2004-07 Musicology-3121-Planet Earth comeback era keyboard rig (Korg Triton and Roland Fantom workstation synths, Yamaha Motif), it gives the funk/rock revival arrangement its harmonic bed without competing for space.
