The album's instrumental centrepiece leans hardest on the EMS VCS3, its swept sine tones and ring-modulated textures layered over Pinder's Mellotron strings. Pinder's Mellotron and Hammond organ plus the band's new EMS VCS3 (played by Thomas and Edge) for the album's musique-concrete textures.
