The low end on "Ascent" is a hypnotic, filter-sequenced analogue bass line, the backbone Wehbba builds the groove around on Awkward Vacation EP: short, driven notes with a fast-closing filter envelope keep it tight against the 909 kick, with a slow-cycling sample-and-hold LFO nudging the cutoff for movement across the arrangement.
