- On "The Sun and the Rainfall", post-Clarke line-up rig documented for the period: Roland Jupiter-8 and ARP 2600 for leads and basslines, Sequential Circuits Prophet-5 for pads, Yamaha CS-5 for texture, programmed largely by Martin Gore and Alan Wilder-era engineer Daniel Miller. Here it carries the synth-bass line, played mono with a fast filter pluck so each note has a percussive attack before settling. Reconstructed by ear from the record; no official patch sheet survives for this part, so the specific oscillator and filter values are an informed approximation anchored to the album's known gear.
