notes: A syncopated, punchy synth bass line drives the groove under a-ha's other synth layers, most likely a Jupiter-8 or DX7 patch shaped with a snappy filter envelope so it cuts through the mix. Typical of the sequenced low end a-ha and producer Alan Tarney used across the Scoundrel Days era.
