Though the song itself is carried by piano and vocal, a CS-80 stab patch punches in on the intro and hook to mimic a horn hit, a recurring Polar Studios trick from this period. The filter envelope is voiced fast and bright so the stab reads as percussive brass rather than a sustained pad, sitting just behind the piano in the mix.
