The lead line on "Love Is Blue" is voiced on in-the-box virtual analogue/wavetable synths referencing the classic D-50/JD-800 sound, detuned saws pushed through a bright filter sweep to cut over the choir/orchestral bed. Filter cutoff and resonance are pushed up on the chorus for extra bite.
