The synth keys layer doubles the piano chords with a warmer, slightly detuned Virus TI electric-piano voice, giving the chorus extra sheen under Fergie and apl.de.ap's vocals; will.i.am's period keyboard rig (Virus TI, Sylenth1) is documented for the album though this specific patch is a reconstruction.
