The cover replaces Earth, Wind & Fire's horn-driven original with a filter-swept synth bass pluck that carries the groove alongside a four-on-the-floor kick, the standard treatment Australian club-radio dance covers of disco classics got in the mid-90s. The pluck timing locks tight to the kick rather than following a bassline melody, keeping it a rhythmic device more than a lead voice.
