A slow-attack synth pad sits under the verse and swells into the chorus of "Rihanna", tracking the string/cello line so the electronic and acoustic layers read as one texture. Clean Bandit's early-period rig: Roland Juno-106 for pads and string-machine chorus, a Nord Lead for leads and arps, Trilian for the synth-bass layer, and Grace Chatto's cello sampled and layered under the pads to blur the classical/electronic line.
