The melodic hook is a processed sample of Edwin Birdsong's keys/guitar riff; the vocoded/talkbox vocal is the signature synth element. On this engine: a saw/square approximation of the sampled riff through a lightly resonant LP24 around 2 kHz, plus the vocoder and talkbox chain and heavy sidechain pumping that define the record.
