notes
The Emulator II's low-bitrate 8-bit choir sample (27.7 kHz), tamed by its SSM2045 analog filter down to 1200 Hz, is what makes this pad eerie and breathy rather than harsh and digital. No sampler here, so a detuned saw/square choir stack with a whisper of noise for the sample's grain approximates it, filtered hard by an LP24 at the same 1200 Hz.
