- On "The Chauffeur", Nick Rhodes' rig: Roland Jupiter-4 and Roland Jupiter-8 for pads and stabs, an ARP Odyssey for sequenced arps, plus a Solina-style string machine on the ballads. Here it carries a sustained synth pad that fills out the harmony behind the vocal, slow attack so it swells in rather than jumps. Reconstructed by ear from the record; no official patch sheet survives for this part, so the specific oscillator and filter values are an informed approximation anchored to the album's known gear.
