notes
Roland D-50's I-44 'Pizzagogo' preset is LA (linear arithmetic) synthesis: a bright PCM pluck transient layered onto a filtered subtractive sustain body. Not producible subtractively alone, so a pulse-plus-triangle with a touch of noise gives the transient snap here, decaying fast into an LP12 body around 2.5 kHz, with the signature ~15 ms chorus/delay giving the pluck its shimmer.
