- A dubby sub-heavy bassline drives this darker album cut. A bass part for "Dirty Ol' Man" built with approximated from Rollo Armstrong & Sister Bliss's known work: they used a Roland Jupiter-6 and SH-101 for basslines and pads, Korg M1 stabs and an Akai S1000 sampler for breaks, sequenced on an early Cubase/Atari rig at Swanyard Studios in this era (1995-1996 UK progressive house/trip hop). 1 saw + 1 square -1 through a LP 24 dB/oct filter (cutoff around 255 Hz), shaped by the short punch on the attack, settles to a rounder sustained tone.
