On "Nie mehr Schule" the lead part is a period-typical synth line supporting the arrangement. Ponger and Falco cut the album at Stereo West (Vienna) and Arco Studios (Munich) on a Prophet-5/Jupiter-8 pair with a Linn LM-1/LinnDrum machine, the standard Vienna new-wave synth rig of 1981-84. The instrumental bed borrows its melody from David Bowie's "Speed of Life" (Low, 1977).
