On "Kann es Liebe sein" the keys part is a slow, sustained line that lets the ballad breathe. Ponger and Falco cut the album at Stereo West (Vienna) and Arco Studios (Munich) on a Prophet-5/Jupiter-8 pair with a Linn LM-1/LinnDrum machine, the standard Vienna new-wave synth rig of 1981-84. A duet with Desiree Nosbusch; the synth bed stays sparse and sustained under the two vocals.
