The arpeggiated synth pattern running through the section on "Sparks" (Catch as Catch Can, 1983). 1983 Wilde-family production: Jupiter-8 bass and stabs, Linn LM-1, early Fairlight CMI colour starting to appear on the choruses (the era of the Nile Rodgers 'Dancing in the Dark' remix). Built from 2 saw -1 detune, shaped by a LP 12 dB/oct filter (gated per-step brightness), finished with plate reverb (short-medium), light BBD-style chorus, no delay unless doubled by production.
