A single-DCO synth bass with the sub-oscillator an octave down gives the single its round, slightly dubby low end, gated into a steady rolling pulse under the duo's reggae-inflected groove. The chorus circuit is left on, the standard sound of a Roland Juno bass line of this era. Reconstructed by ear against Laid Back's documented early-80s Roland-based studio habits; no session sheet for this specific single survives publicly.
