On this Release-era synth-pop track, a detuned pad glides between chords, giving the track its width. Built from string-machine ensemble -8 through a LP 12 dB/oct filter (tight envelope with almost no movement), it sits in the mix true to the period's Nord Lead and early softsynths kept deliberately in the background of Johnny Marr's guitars-driven productions.
