On "Call of the Wild" (Pearls of Passion, 1986) the bass part is a tight monophonic synth bass doubling the root movement, filtered dark to sit under the bass guitar, built from DX7 FM electric-piano/bell stack layered under a Jupiter-8 saw pad. Filtered with a lp12 slope around 861 Hz and shaped to match the 1986 Pearls of Passion sessions production.
