- The growl is an OB-X filter sweep closing from open with high resonance, triggered by Geddy Lee via a pedal. On this engine: two saws an octave apart through a heavily resonant LP12 around 300 Hz, a deep, instant-attack filter envelope sweeping 2.5 octaves down, and a slow triangle LFO on cutoff standing in for the pedal-performed sweep.
