- The song opens and is carried throughout by a cool, minor-key synth arpeggio that is as much the hook as the vocal melody, an intentional homage to 1980s synth-pop. It sits mid-register with a steady eighth-note pulse and light chorus for width. Reconstructed by ear; the exact synth used in the session is not confirmed publicly.
