notes
The real part is tape-replayed strings/flutes, not a synthesized tone, so this is a deliberate approximation: stack detuned saws for the choir-of-tape-heads character a single Mellotron strip gives you, keep the filter static since tape has no resonant sweep, and add a slow, shallow pitch LFO for the wow/flutter real tape mechanisms impart. A long reverb stands in for the instrument's own tape-hiss ambience.
