Dave Greenfield's rapid Minimoog runs cut across the punk rhythm section, one of the clearest examples of a synthesizer functioning as a lead instrument in the punk era, pushed with a touch of drive for that snarling edge. Greenfield's Minimoog use with The Stranglers is well documented in interviews and equipment retrospectives. Play it fast and aggressive with quick glides between runs.
