On "A Broken Frame", post-Clarke line-up rig documented for the period: Roland Jupiter-8 and ARP 2600 for leads and basslines, Sequential Circuits Prophet-5 for pads, Yamaha CS-5 for texture, programmed largely by Martin Gore and Alan Wilder-era engineer Daniel Miller. Here it carries the lead synth line, single-note and vibrato-tinged to sit like a voice in the mix. Reconstructed by ear from the record; no official patch sheet survives for this part, so the specific oscillator and filter values are an informed approximation anchored to the album's known gear.
